Rationale

A HAZOP is a systematic assessment tool used to identify and address potential hazards in industrial processes before an incident occurs that could affect the Safety of people or assets while hindering Productivity.

Objectives

At the end of the program participants will be able to describe:
• HAZOP technique and its application
• Understand the differences between HAZOP and other hazard identification techniques
• The responsibilities of the HAZOP Leader
• How to implement and conduct HAZOP studies

Course Contents

• Module 1 - Introduction to Process Control
• Module 2 - Introduction to Controls
• Module 3 - HAZOP
• Module 4 - Case Study

Entry Requirement(s)

Participants are required to bring along their Laptop for HAZOP exercise and presentation.

Methodology

The delivery has a balance of lectures, workshops & video presentation and practical to assist participants to interpret the OSH requirements in practical situations, together with the questions & answer sessions
