Target
1. Drivers for both commercial or personal use with appropriate car driving license and medically fit
2. The training is also relevant to employees who are associated with road transport operations, such as Depot Managers, Operations Supervisors, Logistics Officer, Transport & Safety Officer
Rationale
This training shall place great emphasis on the necessary skills to make the roads safer for everybody. Most drivers consider themselves good drivers but good drivers often make mistakes and the average driver makes more mistakes in his or her driving lifetime. The average driver drives too fast, too close to others, changes lanes too often and frequently becomes complacent and inattentive while behind the wheel. For most people, avoiding an accident is more a matter of good luck than driving skill.
Objectives
Provide knowledge, understanding / mindset and skill in enhancing the level of road safety, reducing accident risks and decreasing the percentage of total road accidents.
Course Contents
1. The Principles of Defensive Driving
2. Inspection and maintenance requirements
3. Need of Seat belt
4. Understanding the possible causes of accident
5. Types of Brake & Transmission System
6. 3 Elements of Safe driving
7. Hand Position in Steering Wheels
8. Blind Spots
9. Center of Gravity/Stability of Vehicle
10. Roundabout Rules
11. Revision (at the end of session)
Entry Requirement(s)
• Process valid class D driving licenses
Methodology
The delivery has a balance of lectures, workshops & video presentation to assist participants to interpret the OSH requirements in practical situations, together with the questions & answer sessions.

Maximum 20 pax per session
