Anybody with prior scaffolding experience in the construction industry or other related industries.

Objectives
At the end of the course, the participant will be able to:
i. Gain knowledge and the necessary skills to enable them to meet the requirements of basic scaffolding job
ii. Identify bad and unsafe scaffolding practices
iii. Meet the requirement of Basic Scaffolding certificate in accordance with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) and Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).

i. Module 1 - Legislative Requirement
ii. Module 2 - Working at Height
iii. Module 3 - Scaffold Safety
iv. Module 4 - General topic for Tools & Equipment
v. Module 5 - Handling and Lifting
vi. Module 6 - Use of Gin Wheels
vii. Module 7 - Rope and Knot
viii. Module 8 - Scaffold Frame/Tubular/Modular
Entry Requirement(s)
• Malaysian citizen, and
• Physically and mentally fit, and
• Able to read and write either Bahasa or English, and
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
Methodology
The delivery has a balance of lectures, workshops & video presentation and practical to assist participants to interpret the OSH requirements in practical situations, together with the questions & answer sessions
